In this video, we’re having a look at a Heat Recovery Ventilation Unit (HRV).

When it’s time for cleaning wall mount filters, is simpler than you’d expect. This video gives a short demonstration of how to clean one. First, make sure the unit is off. Then using the finger grooves, open the hood just until it stays open. Now you can remove both filters and clean with air or water. Once they’re clean, slide both filters back into place. Close the hood and make sure all four clips are engaged, then you’re good to go. It’s important to keep filters clean regularly to avoid spreading allergens and contaminants in your home, while allowing your unit to run as efficiently as possible.
